font size

Lao Prime Minister Bouasone Bouphavanh will pay an official visit to Vietnam from Aug. 29-31, local newspaper People's Army reported Thursday.

The visit is made at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

During meetings here between top leaders of Vietnam and Secretary General of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and State President Choummaly Sayasonem in June and Lao Deputy Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith in July, the two sides affirmed their determination to maintain and develop the friendly and all-round cooperative relations between the two countries.

They also agreed that Vietnam and Laos will maintain meetings and contacts of high-ranking officials between the two countries in different forms, and expand cooperation among their ministries, sectors, localities and enterprises.
