At least 13 people including two women were injured when two bombs rocked Quetta, the capital city of Pakistani southwestern Balochistan province on Thursday, the local private channel Geo TV reported.

Two bombs were placed in a car and the first blast ripped the car into two pieces. The second devices exploded in the separated part of the same car after five minutes, according to the Geo TV report.

Window panes of several nearby houses were smashed and five vehicles parking in the area were also destroyed.

The injured have been sent to the civil hospital of Quetta immediately.

The bomb-laden car was parked outside the office of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) near a bus stop.

The PEMRA officials said that the blasts caused damage to their office.

Experts of bomb disposal squad were called to search the nearby area for any other possible bomb.

Police blocked road to the bomb site but allowed journalists and rescue people to go there.

People in the offices in the bomb site area rushed to safe places soon after the blasts.

No group has claimed responsibility for the blasts but the authorities always suspect the anti-government tribesmen behind such blasts.

Balochistan province has seen deadly blasts and attacks on security forces and government installations in recent months.

The local militants are fighting for more autonomy and benefits from oil and gas exploration in Balochistan.

Pakistan's military have launched a major crackdown on militants in Balochistan after a rocket attack on Dec. 14, 2005 during a visit of President General Pervez Musharraf.

Baloch nationalists alleged that many civilians have been killed during the operation.

The government denied the charges, saying only those who carried out attacks on security forces and government installations are targeted.
