Six U.S. soldiers killed in insurgent attacks in Iraq

Six American soldiers have been killed in separate roadside bomb attacks in Iraq, the U.S. military said on Monday.

A roadside bomb struck a U.S. vehicle in north of Baghdad on Sunday, killing four soldiers, the U.S. military command said in a statement.

Another roadside bomb killed the fifth soldier in western Baghdad, while the sixth killed by a sniper gunshot without specifying the place of the incident, the military said in separate statement.

Since the U.S.-led war in Iraq started in March 2003, about 2, 620 soldiers have died in Iraq, according to media count.
