Israeli troops kill Palestinian militants in Ramallah

Israeli troops stormed the West Bank city of Ramallah on Monday evening, killing a Palestinian militant before it pulled back, witnesses and security sources said.

The Israeli army force, backed by a special unit of soldiers and jeeps, entered into the city, claiming they were searching for Palestinian militants who were planning attacks against Israel, the witnesses said.

Palestinian security sources said that as soon as Israeli soldiers arrived near one of the buildings in the city, armed clashes erupted between the soldiers and one of the militants, a member in al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Fatah movement's armed wing.

Palestinian medics said that Alla Raddi, a Palestinian militant, was shot dead and his body was brought to a nearby hospital in the city.

Meanwhile, security sources in Gaza said that an Israeli soldier was injured in eastern Gaza City, when Palestinian militants fired a missile at an Israeli vehicle that incurred into Sheja'eya neighborhood east of Gaza City.

An Israeli army force backed by tanks, armored vehicles, reconnaissance drones and helicopters stormed the neighborhood at predawn on Sunday and shot dead eight Palestinians.

In addition, two more Palestinians were killed in northern and southern Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian medics.
