Iraqi police found the body of a Tikrit court judge who disappeared four days ago north of the capital Baghdad, a local police source told Xinhua on Thursday.
"Our patrols found the body of Turky al-Dulaimi, judge of Tikrit court, in a street near Samarra, some 120 km north of Baghdad," the source said on condition of anonymity.
Four days ago, Dulaimi left Tikrit, the capital of Salahudin province, after being transferred from Tikrit court to a court in Abu Ghraib, just west of Baghdad, the source said.
Dulaimi's body was shot with several bullets in his head and chest, he added.
Violence has continued infesting Iraq as gunmen frequently carry out killings and kidnappings, demanding large ransoms.
