A roadside bomb went off in an eastern neighborhood in Baghdad on Saturday morning, wounding three civilians, a police source said.
"An explosive-charge detonated near a residential building in Baghdad's al-Jadidah neighborhood, wounding three civilians," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The target of the attack was not clear, and a police force is investigating the incident, he added.
The blast followed a double bomb blasts, detonated successively earlier in the morning in a busy central Baghdad area, killing two people and wounding 21 others, including three policemen, according to an Interior Ministry source.
The blasts follow several days of heavy bloodshed in and outside the capital city of Baghdad, where U.S. and Iraqi troops have mounted a major security crackdown.
