A suicide attack apparently targeting ISAF soldiers killed six persons including a British soldier and injured seven others on Monday in eastern Kabul, capital of Afghanistan.
A Xinhua correspondent saw some policemen and troops of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) have cordoned off the site, which is on Jalalabad road.
There were some remains of the victims and a civilian's destroyed motorcycle at the spot.
A witness, who only gave his name as Mohammad, said the suicide car bombing took place at 10:30 a.m. local time, killing one British soldier of ISAF and five civilians, as well as wounding seven others.
However, an official with Afghan Interior Ministry, who refused to be identified, told Xinhua, "the suicide bombing attacker exploded his car in Qalai Wazir area east of Kabul, killing four civilians and wounding seven others."
An ISAF spokesman also confirmed the incident, but declined to say if there were any casualties in ISAF side.
"We have a report on the explosion on Jalalabad road and we are checking it," Maj. Luke Knittig told Xinhua.
Afghanistan is suffering from a rise of Taliban-linked violence this year, during which over 2,100 people have been killed.
