Chinese State Councilor meets German guest

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met here Tuesday with Heinrich Von Pierer, the German Chairman of the second meeting of the China-Germany Dialogue Forum, who is also the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG.

Tang spoke positively of the forum's role played to strengthen the bilateral non-governmental exchange and promote the mutual understanding between the two countries and the two peoples.

Tang said that China-Germany relations have maintained good momentum in growth, expressing his hope that the forum could seize this good opportunity to make more contribution to improving bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields.

The China-Germany Dialogue Forum, a non-governmental forum established in Berlin in 2005, aims to explore friendly bilateral cooperation in various fields and to make relevant suggestions to the two governments.
