Dogan reappointed as coach of Turkey's Trabzonspor to replace LazaroniZiya Dogan was reappointed as coach of Turkey's Trabzonspor on Thursday after Brazilian Sebastiao Lazaroni left the Turkish UEFA Cup contenders by mutual consent, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported. Yusuf Simsek, vice president of Trabzonspor club, was quoted as saying that they could not gain successful results with Lazaroni, and they cancelled his contract mutually. According to official web-site of Trabzonspor, Ziya Dogan, who earlier worked with the team, was appointed as the new coach of Trabzonspor. During a previous two-season spell in charge between 2003 and 2005, Dogan enjoyed success in 2004 by winning the Turkish Cup and overseeing a second-place league finish. He has been at Genclerbirligi and Malatyaspor since leaving the Black Sea club. Trabzonspor made a poor start to their Super League campaign under Lazaroni, tallying four points from four games to cause dissent among supporters who have waited 22 years for a seventh Turkish title.
