The 18th batch of the Kuwaiti relief supplies arrived in Lebanon on Saturday, the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
Head of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society (KRCS) team in Lebanon Musaed Al-Enezi said that the shipment, loaded on 17 trucks, is consisted of 340 tons of food stuffs, adding that more supplies would arrive soon.
The KRCS has so far distributed more than 3,000 tons of relief supplies since the beginning of the Israel-Hezbollah conflict began on July 12.
Besides, Kuwaiti government has also provided 300 million U.S. dollars to Lebanon and deposited 500 million dollars at the Lebanese Central Bank.
Referring to these two huge support, Kuwait's Finance Minister Bader Al-Humaidhi told KUNA on Saturday that they would be spent respectively "in accordance with the wishes of the Lebanese government" and to "shore up the Lebanese currency".
Furthermore, the minister, who is currently in Lebanon for an official visit, said the southern Lebanon villages, which had been destroyed by Israeli, would be reconstructed at Kuwait's expense, too.
