font size

A suicide attacker blew up his explosive-laden car near a police recruitment center on Monday in Ramadi, 100 km west of Baghdad, killing 13 people and wounding 10 others, a local police source told Xinhua.

The bombing occurred on Monday while many people gathered at the recruitment center, leaving 13 people killed and 10 injured, including many policemen, the source said on condition of anonymity.

The recruitment building was also heavily damaged and the wounded were immediately sent to Ramadi Public Hospital, he added.

Ramadi, capital of the restive al-Anbar province, has frequently witnessed insurgent attacks targeting the U.S. and Iraqi governmental forces.
