Singapore has completed its testing on six SK-II products sold locally and the results showed that the famous Japanese cosmetics do not pose any safety concerns, the health authority announced Friday.
According to Singapore's Channel NewsAsia reports, the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) said the two substances, chromium and neodymium which have been reported to contain harmful ingredients, are present in SK-II products as trace impurities and are at levels which do not pose any safety concerns.
The HSA added that it would continue to closely monitor the situation and keep an eye on the safety of cosmetic products sold in Singapore.
It would alert Singaporeans and take appropriate action when necessary to protect public health and safety, said the health authority.
