Number of bloggers in China reaches 17.5 million

The number of bloggers in China was 17.5 million at the end of August, according to a report from the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC), on September 23.

There are approximately 7.7 million active bloggers who update once a month or more. Some 34 million people have registered for blog space, but 70 per cent of those are dormant bloggers, who update less than once a month. The number of blog readers is 75 million, of which 54.7 million are active.
