Israel detained some 800 Palestinians after a soldier was kidnapped by Palestinian militants in a cross-border raid from Gaza in late June, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) said on Monday.
Israel arrested dozens of Hamas lawmakers and a number of cabinet ministers, including Parliament Speaker Aziz Dweik, after Gaza militants killed two Israeli soldiers and seized a third, Corporal Gilad Shalit, in the raid on June 25.
Hamas's armed wing was one of the three groups which claimed responsibility for the raid.
The raid sparked a massive offensive by the Jewish state in Gaza, as well as in the West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture said the agricultural losses caused by the Israeli military operation were estimated at 26 million U.S. dollars.
Captors of Shalit demanded a swap of 10,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Shalit, but progress of talks on the swap remained unclear amid conflicting reports.
Earlier on Monday, an Israeli army attorney rejected a request to release several Hamas ministers and lawmakers on bail, ruling that they would remain in prison until the trial against them is over.
