Eighty percent of county-level governments or above have established websites for releasing government information, announced a CPC official on Tuesday.

Gan Yisheng, secretary-general of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said at a press conference that the country's 31 provincial-level governments have all established official websites and 70 government departments under the State Council have done the same.

Local governments have also opened government affairs consultation hot lines. The country's township governments have set up bulletin boards to publicize government affairs, he said.
