Argentina's Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana stressed on Tuesday that his nation would vote for Venezuela as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
"There is no doubt that Argentina's Security Council vote will be for Venezuela," he told reporters.
"Argentina has not experienced any pressure, nor would it allow itself to be pressured," he added.
According to information from the United Nations, if Venezuela can not get 128 votes, and U.S.-supported Guatemala also fails to do so, there would be a proposal for both nations to rescind their candidacies, and let Latin American countries choose a third candidate instead.
