font size

Palestinian Ambassador to Amman Atallah Kheiri Saturday extended thanks and appreciation to Jordan 's King Abdullah II for the country's new donation to Palestinian children.

The donation of 1,000 schoolbags provided by the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization was earmarked for children of those Palestinians who were wounded or killed in conflict.

"This new endowment comes to our students of the dead and the wounded Palestinian people who are in difficult financial circumstances due to the non-receipt of their salaries for more than five months," Kheiri said, adding that these bags have been distributed to the needy students.

According to the Jordan's official news agency Petra, this endowment was directed to alleviate the burden of the families of those distressed students and to stress the depth of the relations between Jordanian and Palestinian people.
