Militants set fire into Ramallah cabinet, five killed in Gaza

Dozens of Palestinian militants, members of Fatah movement's armed wing stormed the building of Hamas-led cabinet and set fire into its rooms, eyewitnesses and security sources said.

Eyewitnesses said the militants broke into the cabinet building ruled by Hamas movement in protest to violent fighting in the Gaza Strip between security officers and Hamas-auxiliary force militants.

Palestinian medics in Gaza said that two more were killed, adding that the death toll of Palestinians killed in a day-long exchange of fire and clashes rose to five, and more than 50 wounded all over the Gaza Strip.

The troubles erupted in Gaza Strip after interior minister Said Siam gave instructions to his auxiliary force to prevent by force protests of the security and police officers who call for their delayed salaries to be paid.

Following the clashes, Fatah and Hamas movements have exchanged accusations over responsibility for the events in Gaza Strip that led to the deaths of five Palestinians and injury of more than 50 others.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the armed wing of Fatah has threatened to target Hamas institutions in the West Bank in response to attacks on security and police officers by Hamas auxiliary force in Gaza.
