An Israeli air raid killed one Palestinian on Tuesday morning in southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, witnesses and paramedics said.
According to the witnesses, an Israeli Apache helicopter fired two missiles at a metal workshop to the west of Khan Younis, destroying it completely and killing one Palestinian who was close to the workshop.
Hospital sources said another Palestinian was moderately wounded in the raid.
Meanwhile, the owner of the workshop told reporters that Israeli army contacted him over the phone and informed him his workshop would be targeted.
In northern Gaza Strip, Israeli tanks, backed by helicopter fire, rolled into the border towns of Biet Lahiya and Beit Hanoun and took up positions, adding more troops to those who pushed into the same area two days ago.
The troops stationed in what used to be their positions before the major withdrawal of Gaza Strip about a year ago.
Recently, Israeli military sources vowed to put an end to the Palestinian rocket attacks which take place from northern Gaza.
