font size

The Vietnamese government has assigned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Interior Ministry, to map out a scheme on establishing a state steering committee on borderline demarcation and border marker planting, local newspaper Youth reported Wednesday.

The new steering committee will be set up by merging three existing committees which are in charge of demarcation and planting land border markers with China, upgrading border marker systems with Laos, and demarcation and planting land border markers with Cambodia.

The two ministries are tasked to submit the scheme to the government in November, said the report.
