An Israeli F16 warplane by air-to- ground rockets destroyed on Wednesday night a Palestinian house owned by an Hamas Movement militant in northern Gaza Strip, witnesses and security sources said.
The witnesses said that the house owner is a member in Hamas armed wing, better known as al-Qassam Brigades, and he was informed by the Israeli army by telephone that he should leave his house because it would be targeted.
Abu Hassan Sallah's house located in Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip, who is considered as a senior Islamic Resistance Movement, or Hamas, militant.
One missile was fired by an F16 warplane at the house which consists of two floors, said the witnesses, adding that the house was totally destroyed and two neighboring houses were damaged with one Palestinian was slightly wounded.
An Israeli army spokesman confirmed the airstrike on the Hamas activist house, saying that he uses the house as weapons storage. The weapons are used by militants in attacking Israel.
Many Palestinian militants and activists had been informed by the Israeli army to evacuate their homes because it used to store weapons used against Israel.
So far, over 40 houses have been destroyed from air in the past three months.
