After five days of calm, Palestinian militants relaunched Qassam rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israel on Thursday morning, local Yedioth Ahronoth reported.
According to the report, two Qassam rockets were fired at the town of Sderot Thursday morning, causing no injuries or damages.
One of rockets landed in the town and the other fell in an open area outside of Sderot. Residents reported of a particularly loud explosion.
The rocket that landed inside Sderot fell only 50 meters away from a bus, shocking the passengers aboard.
Despite the IDF's intense activity in the Gaza Strip, the firing of Qassam rockets toward Israel still continues.
IDF troops killed early Thursday four Palestinian militants in Gaza, an IDF spokeswoman told Xinhua.
These militants opened fire and used anti-tank missiles against IDF troops, she said.
It was reported by the Palestinian side that a teenage boy was also killed in the clash.
The IDF confirmed that its forces were operating in the area looking for facilities used by militants.
Early Thursday morning, IDF forces arrested 12 wanted operatives throughout the West Bank. The detained operatives, who were arrested in Nablus, Tul Karem, Bethlehem, Hebron and northwest of Ramallah, are members of Hamas, Fatah, Tanzim, and the Popular Front, Yedioth Ahronoth said.
