Two police commando members were killed and nine people wounded on Tuesday when a car bomb hit a police commando patrol in a southern Baghdad district, a well- informed police source said.
"A parking car bomb went off at a police commando patrol in the Saidiyah neighborhood, damaging a police vehicle and killing two personnel," Captain Ahmed Abdullah from Baghdad police told Xinhua.
"The attack wounded five other police commando members and four civilians," Abdullah said, adding the attack damaged several nearby civilian car and buildings.
Insurgents frequently attack U.S. and Iraqi police forces, accusing them of collaboration with the U.S. occupation.
