font size

Former Chinese national team manager Bora Mulitinovic confirmed Tuesday that he agreed to coach Jamaica who is hoping to qualify for the 2010 World Cup finals.

Milutinovic, who resigned after the 2002 World Cup, told Xinhua that he has reached agreement with the Jamaican soccer association as he was given a contract with no expiration date.

His major goal, Milutinovic said, would be a berth in next World Cup, the world soccer gala to be held in South Africa.

Milutinovic, nicknamed Milu by millions of Chinese fans, led China to their only World Cup finals in 2002 tournament, co-hosted by Japan and South Korea.

After resignation in the same year, he had a stint with Honduras in 2004.
