Nigeria, Israel to collaborate on technology development

Nigeria is to collaborate with Israel to improve its technology, Nigerian official News Agency reported on Monday.

According to a statement issued by Nigeria National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP), the collaboration would mainly focus on wealth creation and economic development.

The proposed areas of collaboration are training in data collection and the enhancement of technological services in Nigerian universities, the statement said.

"Nigeria has a lot to learn from Israel in the area of technology, "NOTAP Director-General David Okongwu said, adding that the major focus of the present administration was technological advancement which would benefit the Nigerian people.

An official from Israeli Embassy in Nigeria said that Israel and Nigeria had many things in common, adding that both countries would benefit from the relationship.
