Vietnam, Cambodia to foster comprehensive cooperationVietnam and Cambodia agreed to deepen their all-round cooperation, aiming to bring practical benefits to the two peoples, said the two countries' leaders. During the talks between Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem and his visiting Cambodian counterpart Hor Namhong on Monday, the two sides pledged to continue their close cooperation at the international forums and in the sub-regional and regional frameworks such as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), and the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). They also highly appreciated the historical significance of their border marker installation at the Moc Bai-Ba Vet international border gate in September, demonstrating the two countries' determination to complete the installation along their border line before late 2008. During the four-day visit starting on Monday, Hor Namhong is scheduled to meet with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nong Duc Manh and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, and attend the 8th meeting of the Vietnam-Cambodia Joint Committee.
