Vietnam's stock market finishes lower

Vietnam's stock market index, VN- Index, dropped 3.95 points, or 0.75 percent, to 521.04 on Friday with 113.909 billion Vietnamese dong (VND) (7.16 million U.S. dollars) worth of shares and investment certificates being traded.

A total of 1,676,750 shares worth 109.116 billion VND (6.86 million dollars), and 198,040 investment fund certificates totaling 4.792 billion VND (301,400 dollars) changed hands at the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center on Friday. Meanwhile, no bonds were traded.

Vietnam currently has 51 kinds of listed shares, 372 kinds of listed bonds, mostly government bonds, and 1 listed investment fund totaling over 66,500 billion VND (more than 4.18 billion dollars).
