ASEAN Secretary-General arrives in Nanning for China-ASEAN summit

ASEAN Secretary-General Ong Keng Yong arrived in Nanning on Sunday to attend a China-ASEAN summit slated for Monday in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The summit is to mark the 15th anniversary of the China-ASEAN dialogue relations. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will hold bilateral meetings with the ASEAN leaders respectively on the sidelines of the summit.

Before his visit to China, Ong told the press that the cooperation between ASEAN and China will help ASEAN member countries to go global.

According to the agenda, Ong Keng Yong will also attend the third China-ASEAN Expo scheduled to open on Tuesday. He participated in the previous two expositions in the 2004 and 2005.
