President of Guinea-Bissau visits Shanghai

President of Guinea-Bissau Joao Bernardo Vieira said in Shanghai Sunday evening that he wished the upcoming Beijing Summit of the Forum on the China-Africa Cooperation a complete success.

Vieira made the remarks in a meeting with Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng.

Vieira also expressed his admiration for the amazing achievement China has made in recent years, adding that Guinea-Bissau welcomes more investment from China.

President Vieira is visiting China at the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

He arrived in Shanghai Sunday afternoon and will leave for Nanjing,capital of east China's Jiangsu Province on Oct. 30.

He will attend the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in early November.
