Chinese, ASEAN leaders agree to seek peaceful solution to DPRK nuke issueThe Chinese and ASEAN leaders agreed that the nuclear standoff on the Korean Peninsula should be resolved in a peaceful way, Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo said Monday. She made the remarks at a press conference at the end of the China-ASEAN summit meeting marking the 15th anniversary of their dialogue relations. Arroyo called for an early resumption of the six-party talks concerning the nuclear program of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Arroyo also expressed appreciation for the role that China has played in solving the issue.
