Comoran president arrives for China-Africa Beijing summit

Comoran President Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Sambi arrived in BeijingTuesday for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on the China-Africa Cooperation.

The two-day summit is scheduled to start on Nov.4. A total of 48 African countries having diplomatic relations with China will send delegations to the summit.

China and Comoros established diplomatic ties in November, 1975, and bilateral trade totaled 1.83 million U.S. dollars in 2005.

Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing visited Comoros in 2004 and former Comoran President Azali Assoumani paid a visit to China in 2003.
