Tanzania makes African rugby championship finals

Tanzania has advanced into this year's African Rugby Championship finals after nipping Re-Union 11-10 in their semi-final tie held in the north Tanzanian town of Arusha over the weekend.

Aard Koster scored a late try to pace the host team past the Indian Ocean islanders to the cliff-hanging victory which set Tanzania up in the grand finale.

Tanzania next plays either Nigeria or Niger in the finals to be played later this year, according to reports reaching here on Monday.

The Tanzanians got their semi-final berths after defeating Burundi and Rwanda in a tri-nation trial also played in Arusha.
