Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung left Nanning on Wednesday after attending a commemorative summit marking the 15th anniversary of the dialogue partnership between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The summit opened on Monday in Nanning, capital of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and leaders of the 10 ASEAN member countries attended the summit and signed a joint statement vowing to boost the China-ASEAN strategic partnership.
At a separate meeting with Dung Tuesday on the sidelines of the summit, Wen said China was ready to work together with Vietnam to push the good-neighborly friendship and cooperation to a new high.
Dung said Vietnam attached great importance to the friendly cooperative relations with China and was willing to maintain high- level exchanges and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in a bid to achieve common development.
On Tuesday, Dung also toured the third China-ASEAN Expo and attended the third China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit.
