China sends 50 volunteers to Ethiopia

Fifty young volunteers departed from Beijing for Ethiopia on October 31. They will provide services in the areas of Chinese language teaching, medical health, rural construction, industrial techniques, cultural development and more.

This is the largest aid foreign delegation since the program was launched in 2005. All members hold a bachelor's degree or higher, and the average age of the volunteers is 27.

China has sent a total of 168 volunteers to Laos, Burma, Thailand, Ethiopia and other countries.
