Rwandese president arrives in Beijing

Rwandese President Paul Kagame arrived here Thursday for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China- Africa Cooperation slated for Nov. 4-5.

Rwanda forged diplomatic ties with China on November 12, 1971. Bilateral trade topped 23.54 million U.S. dollars in 2005.

Kagame visited China in 2001. Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, paid a friendly visit to Rwanda last August.
