Somali president arrives in Beijing for China-Africa summit

Somali President Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed arrived here on Thursday for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Forty eight African countries that have diplomatic relations with China are to participate in the two-day summit scheduled for Nov. 4-5.

China and Somalia established diplomatic relations on Dec. 14, 1960. Bilateral trade reached 19.64 million U.S. dollars in 2005.
