Three U.S. soldiers killed in Baghdad

Three U.S. soldiers were killed Thursday in a bomb attack in eastern Baghdad, the military said on Friday.

"Three Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers died at approximately 2:15 p.m. (1115 GMT) Thursday when the vehicle they were riding in was struck by an improvised-explosive device in eastern Baghdad," the military said in a statement.

Since the U.S.-led war in Iraq broke out in March 2003, more than 2,810 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq, according to media count.
