A U.S. soldier died "due to non- combat causes" north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement on Friday.
Earlier in the day, the military said that four U.S. service members were killed on Thursday, and three of them were killed in a roadside bombing in Baghdad and one Marine killed in the volatile Anbar province in west of the country.
More than 2,815 U.S. soldiers have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led war on the oil-rich Arab country broke out in March 2003, according to media count.
