Interior ministers from southeast European countries on Saturday pledged to enhance cooperation to combat terrorism and organized crime, Turkey's semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
"Cooperation in security is the most effective path in preserving regional peace and stability," said a joint declaration signed at the end of the second informal meeting of the southeast European interior ministers.
The ministers emphasized the necessity of concerted efforts and sustainable measures to prevent terrorism and organized crime, expressing their determination to cooperate against terrorism and organized crime.
They underlined in the joint declaration that terrorism is a serious threat to international and regional peace, security and stability as well as democratic values, economic development and territorial integrity of their countries.
