Egypt condemns Israeli offensive in northern GazaEgypt strongly condemned the continued Israeli offensive in northern Gaza town of Beit Hanun on Saturday, warning the offensive would further complicate the situation. Three days after Israel launched the Operation Autumn Clouds in the northern Gaza Strip, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul- Gheit Saturday denounced in a statement Israel's excessive use of force and disregard of civilians, warning that Israeli attitude would certainly lead to more despair among the Palestinians and further complicate the status quo. He called on his Israeli counterpart to immediately take all necessary actions to halt the ongoing operations in Beit Hanun and elsewhere the Palestinian territories. Israeli army has intensified its ground and air offensive on Gaza Strip since Wednesday morning, killing at least 44 Palestinians and wounding more than 150 others.
