A U.S. soldier died of wounds sustained from a roadside bomb attack in northwest Baghdad, the military said on Tuesday.
"A Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldier died at approximately 10:40 p.m. (0740 GMT) Monday from wounds he received after the vehicle he was riding in was struck by an improvised- explosive device in northwest Baghdad," the military said in a statement.
Since the U.S.-led war in Iraq broke out in March 2003, About 2, 820 U.S. soldiers have been killed in the country, according to media count.
