font size

Xinhua News Agency, China's state wire service, is ready to further enhance information exchanges and cooperation with the news media in Iran, said Xinhua President Tian Congming in Beijing Tuesday.

Tian made the remarks in a meeting with Seyed Ezzatollah Zargahmi, president of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Iran's state broadcasting body.

Xinhua has always maintained sound cooperative ties with the news media of Iran, Tian said. He hopes Zargahmi's current China trip will further facilitate cooperation between the two countries' media, and help the two peoples better understand each other.

Zargahmi said Iran's media circle values its friendly cooperation with Xinhua, expressing his hope that the two sides would join hands to enhance information exchanges and expand cooperation.
