One more Palestinian killed in Gaza in Israeli airstrikeIsraeli army continued its airstrike on northern Gaza Strip on Tuesday afternoon, killing the sixth Palestinian following the slaughtering of five Palestinians in the morning, medics and witnesses said. Sources at Kamal Oudwa hospital in Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza said that four wounded Palestinians, including a paramedic hit by Israeli shrapnel, and the body of a 23-year-old Palestinian were sent to the hospital. Earlier in the day, five other Palestinians have been killed in Israeli shooting and artillery shelling, raising the number of the Palestinians have been killed in the recent Israeli operation in northern Gaza, which started on Nov. 1, to more than 60. Tuesday's killings came only hours after Israeli military announced on Monday night the end of a large-scale offensive, dubbed "Autumn Clouds," in northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun. An IDF spokesman also confirmed to Xinhua earlier in the day that Israeli infantry, engineering and armored forces had pulled out Beit Hanoun and redeployed inside the Gaza Strip. However, Israeli air raids still continued despite the end of Operation Autumn Clouds. Operation Autumn Clouds was launched by Israel with the aim of stemming the homemade rocket attacks from Palestinian side on Israel. But rocket attacks on southern Israel by Palestinian militants continued in spite of the army operation. Source: Xinhua |
