Seychelles president leaves S. China for Singapore
font size

Seychelles President James Alix Michel concluded his visit to China on Wednesday morning and flew to Singapore from Haikou, capital of China's southernmost Hainan Province.

In Hainan, Michel and his delegation visited Hainan Provincial Fisheries Research Institute and the permanent site of the Boao Forum for Asia. He also met with provincial governor Wei Liucheng.

Michel showed great interest in the fishing industry and he hoped to cooperate with Hainan in this field.

Michel said the Seychelles and Hainan had much in common, such as natural resources, industry structure and lifestyle, which offered a solid foundation to expand exchanges and cooperation.

He began his state visit to China on Nov. 1 and attended the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation on Nov. 4 and 5.

He arrived in Hainan on Monday.
