European Parliament's commission for CIA prisons visits Poland
font size

A delegation of the special commission of the European Parliament for CIA secret flights and prisons in Europe began its three-day visit in Poland on Wednesday, the PAP news agency reported.

During their stay in Poland, members of the delegation are to hold talks with journalists, politicians and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

Earlier the delegation visited Washington, Berlin, London and Budapest.

Polish authorities have denied that the CIA established secret prisons for terrorist suspects on its territory.

Dick Marty, a member of the European Council, said in his report in July that 14 European nations had agreed that the CIA could transfer terrorist suspects or operate secret jails within their territories.
