28 Taliban militants killed in S. Afghanistan

Afghan and NATO forces killed 28 Taliban insurgents in Kandahar province of southern Afghanistan, a local official told Xinhua on Thursday.

The forces killed 22 militants in Jalai district on Wednesday evening and killed six others in the district early Thursday morning, Ghulam Rasoul Aka, the district police chief said.
