"The Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) is a landmark in the history of friendship between China and Africa. This Summit will enhance the fellowship between the Chinese and African leaders and will promote the comprehensive growth of China-Africa cooperation to a higher level," an African reader Ellen Mark said in his letter of appreciation for the FOCAC Beijing Summit to the People's Daily Online.
Ellen Mark wrote the letter to express a common person's appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome given to his fellow countrymen from Africa.
He said he would like to say "Thank you for the love showed to our African presidents during their visit" on behalf of all the African who are legitimately living and working in China
"I believe every African will be happy to learn that one of the main objectives of this forum is that China has planned a series of ways to help develop African countries. I would like to express my heart-felt gratitude to the government for all the positive steps they are taking in this direction, " Mark added.
Having been married to a Chinese woman for over 4 years and lived and worked in China for over 7 years, Ellen Mark has made China his second home where the Chinese do not see him as a visitor. "They have shown me the same love I receive from my African family and friends," Mark said.
He said he was very impressed to see the ongoing cooperation between China and his motherland "Africa". China has proved to the world that it is friend with everyone and that it welcomes all nations. "Two different races coming together to share one goal is a unique and promising," Mark described the summit.
