Three people killed, 12 injured in another car bomb in Baghdad

Three people were killed and 12 others wounded when a car bomb exploded in a northern Baghdad district on Thursday, an Interior Ministry source said.

"A booby-trapped car went off near a passport office in the Qahira neighborhood, killing three people and wounding 12 others," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

Meanwhile, the death toll of a car bombing near the Samarraie market in southern Baghdad on Thursday rose to four, and up to 31 people were wounded in the bombing, a police source said.

Earlier, the source said that three civilians were killed and 23 others wounded.

A series of car bombs and roadside bombs rocked the Iraqi capital on Thursday, killing at least 13 people and wounding 87.

Violence rages in Iraq as sectarian killings, car bombings, roadside bombs cause dozens of Iraqi casualties daily.
