Airstrike on Palestinian car kills two Hamas militanta in Gaza

Two Hamas militants were killed on Wednesday night as an Israeli aircraft fired one missile at their car that drove at southern Gaza City, medics and eyewitnesses reported.

Witnesses said the missile launched by an Israeli aircraft had directly hit the car, adding that two were killed, and Palestinian ambulances took them to hospital. The two are members of Hamas movement's armed wing.

Sources in Hamas movement said that one of the two is an expert in manufacturing homemade rockets that militants fire at Israel.

Earlier Wednesday, two Palestinian militants were shot dead by Israeli troops' gunfire east of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza Strip, medics said, adding that one was killed in the morning and the other at noon.

In the town of Beit Hanoun, hospital officials said that 18 Palestinians were killed and 30 others wounded after Israeli artillery rounds hit several houses, adding that all of them are civilians, most of them are women and children.

Also in the village of al-Yamoon, near the northern West Bank town of Jenin, four al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades militants and one civilian were killed by the fire of an Israeli army special force.

Palestinian hospitals officials said that the death toll on Wednesday hit to 27, 18 of them in Beit Hanoun, five in Jenin, two were killed east of Jabalia in northern Gaza Strip and two in southern Gaza City.
