Two Palestinians, including a militant and a woman, were killed early on Tuesday by Israeli troops in southeast Gaza City during an Israeli ground raid on the area, eyewitnesses and medics said.
The eyewitnesses said that an Israeli army ground force, backed by tanks and armored vehicles, entered southeast Gaza City and stormed into the home of Hassanein family in the area.
They added that during the intensive gunfire, a 70-year-old Palestinian woman was killed, and then a 31-year-old Palestinian militant Ayman Hassanein, member of the Hassanein family, was shot dead after Israeli soldiers stormed into the house.
Palestinian security sources said that one of the family members was arrested by the Israeli soldiers, adding that the Israeli army force pulled out from the area.
It's the first time that the Israeli army enters this area since the Israeli complete withdrawal from Gaza Strip in September 2005.
Medics at Shiffa Hospital in Gaza City said that the bodies of Ayman Hassanein and the women Saldeya Herezz were brought to the hospital after they had been shot dead by the Israeli army.
